Topic: Working out Three Days a Week Hey Lucas, I personally always lift for power. Every week is a power week. The highest I allow my reps to go is 8. If I can do 8 with good form, I increase the weight. I am a fan of the pump, which is crazy at 10-12 reps, but when it comes to putting on raw size, the 5-8 rep range is my preference. |

Topic: Favorite Song for Lifting Hi Lucas, DMX song "Up in here" get's me lifting heavier every time I hear it. I usually pump that tune while pressing heavy bench or squats. I'd never listen to it in front of my kids though, too many profanities...but the beat rocks!

Topic: Natural Bodybuilding Competitions in Tennessee? Lucas, Working with Joe was a major turning point in my (young) life. I was so happy with my results that I'm trying to convince him to be my life coach. On top of making me shredded 24/7, I want him to peak my career, my finances and love life. When I have my first-born son, I'm going to rip him out of my wife's clutches and send him away to Klemczewski Ranch so that he can peak my children. Joe is always avaliable. Last Tuesday I was taking a monster poop on the toilet, and I wasn't sure how to get through it. So I called Joe, and he guided me through the whole process. He peaked my poop. It was so efficient I didn't even need to wipe. He is the GURU.
Anyway, what I'm really saying in that he's indespensible as a mentor, coach and friend.
Hire!

Topic: Natural Bodybuilding Competitions in Tennessee? Hey, Lucas - thanks for the email today; when I get those pictures we can talk about options for competing. I appreciate Graig and everyone's nice comments. Your results are my number one goal as a client, but the results come much easier the more you're engaged in the process. Those that have good things to say about me or the process are those that took full advantage of communicating and owning their destiny...those that float around and wait for things to happen or for me to chase them around will walk away disappointed. If you're ready to learn and achieve big things, I'm ready to roll!

Topic: Working out Three Days a Week I personally love training 3 days a week. More time for recovery and my strength is insane, even when dieting for a show. My biceps measure a natural and cold 17 1/2 inches. 18 inches in the off season and 18.5' pumped at the height of 5,7'. No frills no gimmicks. Dr. Joe is a pro and would never lead you astray, nor will I. I train an upperbody split as follows: Mon: Upperbody, Tues: Cardio 16 min. intervals, Wed: Lowerbody, Thurs: Interval Cardio, Fri: Upperbody, Sat: Cardio. The following week is reversed where I do lowerbody on Mon and Friday. In the off season, I drop cardio. I straight barbell curl 120 lbs with good form and do DB hammer curls on upperbody days for 2 sets, 5-8 reps tops and heavy! Triceps include weighted PB dips, french press and or pushdowns for 2 sets of 10 (due to tendons I go higher reps with tri's) Only two biceps and 2 triceps exercises on upperbody day after my compound freeweight movements. Your arms will grow. Trust the process and always lift heavy to failure with good form. Failure meaning where you can't do another rep without sacrificing form. This is my preference. |

Topic: Natural Bodybuilding Competitions in Tennessee? trust me joe's guidance via email is better and more personalized and detailed than any trainer could provide you at a local gym. you feel like you are his only client, he really cares about your success. anyone on this board will tell you this, we are team K lifers. even if we retire, we're still here hitting it up. if you need training advice on lifting you can get sean McCauley on board(joes right hand man) and get a good program together. sean with training and joe with the diet is a deadly combo!!!!

Topic: Natural Bodybuilding Competitions in Tennessee? that is a tough one, that is why all of us have dr joe. it takes the guess work out of everything and we really get dialed in both pre contest and offseason. contest prep is so individualistic. it just depends on so many variables. the best thing that i can say besides hiring dr joe. is to provide as much info on the forum about your stats and we will do our best to help. keep reading through the articles joe wrote and formulate a game plan and track everything so you know what steps to take.

Topic: Natural Bodybuilding Competitions in Tennessee? lucas-if you are going to be competeing in the fall, it would be a smart idea to keep a close eye on the bodyfat levels. isn't really a good idea to go and gain a bunch of weight because the show isn't that far off. mickey will tell you that he is probably going to keep his weight stable right now and prep for 16 weeks. your prep time is always really based on body type and your current level conditioning when you start your diet. but more time is alwys better. the more weight you have to lose the longer you'll need so you can be ready early and increase food towards the end to be nasty hard and full. hope that helps.

, but if you see me ever running down the road with a big smile it means it had nothing to do with crack nor speed, just August Burns Red
