Hi Lucas,

150 pounds! Wow, this sport is full of so many great stories. I think that is what got me going on this journey in the first place.

Have a great day.

Thanks so much Julie and Craig for the congrats.

Everybody has been very welcoming since my first post. I might even have to start a thread to keep myself accountable. It seems to  be a great motivational tool for  all of you considering the phenomenal results you guys have attained (I know Joe has a little something to do with this) and maybe it can be that kick in the butt when I feel a little lazy.

Hey mark definitely possible...just saw a show of a guy who was like 150lbs over weight with cholesterol problems and he came into the show and looked great. Also watched a father and son take 2nd and 3rd in the open mens.

Hi Kori,

Thanks for the kudos. I know you can get your procard this year. You seem to have the eye of the tiger (showing my age there).

I look forward to seeing you and everybody as well. Still do not know how I am getting down yet due to finances but I will find a way. Hmm...I could fly and it would cost twice as much or I could take the bus and it would take 27 hours. Either way, I am going to do my best.

Mark-- what wonderful accomplishments you have made thus far! Congratulations! With that 40 lbs off of your body, as well as accompanying baggage I am sure, you are going to live a much more fulfilling life! I'm happy you have joined the team and gotten involved in the forums. You will find an amazingly supportive and inspiring group of people here. I hope to be able to meet you when you're in Evansville June 28- I'll just be moving to the area at that time as I've joined the Diet Doc staff. Again, welcome!

Thanks Mary, Funda, and Shellie.

It is great to be part of Team K (North, I guess). Working with Joe has been just what I needed at this time in my life. My goal is to just compete locally and have fun this Novemeber then go for a INBF Novice Division competion next year if I get bitten by the "bug".

I am 90% sure I will make it to the Team K Prep camp on June 28th so maybe I will see some of you there.

Have a great night.

Topic: Introductions!

Hi Everybody, my name is Mark and I have been with Joe for the last 15 weeks (since Dec 29th to be exact). It has been quite the adventure so far.

I set the lofty goal of competing on November 8th in the Canadian Classic in Toronto...the only little problem I had is I had to lose about to lose abour 110 pounds to not embarrass myself (just an estimate).

Well so far I have lost 40 pounds (as of this morning) and only (LOL) 71 more pounds to go! It has been going fantastic with Joe.

I just wanted to say hi since I have been reading these forums for the last 2 years and you guys seem like quite the great team.

Thats an excellent question Joe... I haven't put my finger on that just yet. I would like to shoot for the show on August 9th in Springfield Mo or maybe something in September. Really though, it doesn't matter. As long as I have enough time to get ready, now is as good of time as any because I'm not getting any younger and I haven't been getting any bigger... Unless of course you count the belly... that has to count for something!

Welcome Jill & Cory.  You will find the people on this board to be very knowledgeable, friendly, supportive, and a lot of fun.  I can only say that you will NEVER go wrong with Dr. Joe.  The man is amazing.  I have seen such dramatic results in such a short period of time and have learned so much in the process!  Great investment, not only for those wishing to compete, but healthy living altogether!

Topic: Introductions!

Well, no kidding I just kind of did this introduction like 10 minutes ago on the preparing to compete section but once more won't hurt. I'm Cory from Missouri and I am trying to get this bodybuilding thing rolling. Need to get my ducks in a row but as soon as I can do that I'll be ready to prepare for my first show! Any advice I would much appreciate! Thanks!

Topic: Introductions!

Well, I guess it is time to formally put myself on the forum. My name is Jill Legg and I am new. I sound like I am introducing myself at some sort of meeting, and I did stand up to do itSmile

I am just entering the world of competing in figure and plan to do an NPC show on April 19th in RI and FAP in Ct on April 26th. I have been an athlete for years, but had done marathon, triathlon, cycling events, adventure racing and other endurance stuff. I have always been weight training, but now I am taking it to the next level.

I have spoken with Dr. Joe and he sounds so great! The forum is awesome and y'all know how to work it. I love it! I have contacted Kori and trained today with Jen Luz and I can say that this sport certainly attracts the best people. I am so excited to see how far I can take it.

I am sure that I will ask you all questions at some point - so thanks in advance!!

Slicebogey, sorry I missed your first post - must have been on a trip.  Bogey is the name of my golf game - but one claim I'll never have to give up is that in my first round with Mr. Scratch-Golfer...I-drive-325+every-time...I'm-always-putting-for-birdie McCauley, I beat him on the first hole.  I birdied, he parred.  I'm sure I've never beaten him on a hole since, but that's all I got.  Welcome, man!

Wonder Woman, welcome to you too! As Sean said, August 2nd would be a great target show for you: right here in the Natural Bodybuilding mecca - Evansville!  (Home of 6 WNBF pros and the Cordova). Smile
