You just hit one of my pet peeves!!!!  I've actually seen trainers who will carry on full blown conversations with other people, look around the room, or watch themselves in the mirror while supposedly training their clients!!!!!  It drives me absolutely crazy.  And you're right, they're should be some "training the trainer" type of training or something to teach these people proper form.  There's one little old lady I see all the time in the gym and she consistently breathes the wrong way during her exercise.  She was obviously taught about breathing, and does a great job of breathing - she's so cute watching her purposely breathe in and out - but she's backwards!!!!!

I've known several people who've had trainers for years and don't know how to workout on their own.  They've become handicapped!!!!  The trainers aren't "teaching" their clients, they're just taking them through a "workout"!!!!!  They can't tell you what exercises they're doing, what muscle groups their working, or how much they're lifting -- "I don't know, so and so puts the weight on and tells me to lift it and I do."

Ok, I need to stop because I can keep going on about this!!!!!
