Topic: Precontest Strategies No I don't eat less on non workout days -my non workout days are usually weekends -not my usual routine - I'm doing house/family stuff and I'm starving most of the day. Joe has me on 2 carb up days - one I like to save for leg day, the other somewhere in between - I was thinking it could be psychological too??????

Topic: cardio Right now - 12 weeks out - I'm doing 45-60 min day/5 X week first thing in the AM. I have a 65" TV in the room and huge library with hundreds of movies to pick from - so it's not that boring - just time consuming. I'd rather be doing something else - like sleeping

Topic: Teens ok - new teen question - now that my 14 yr old H.S. freshman son has almost completed his first wrestling season - he acknowledges he needs more overall strength. (He weighs @145 and wrestled in the 152 weight class) He didn't do too bad - had a few wins and a few pins, but mostly wrestled Jrs & Srs. What would you guys suggest for strength training - more compound movements? Any suggestions would be great... thanks

Topic: Try to tell me Dream Tan #2 doesn't work...I dare you... Sean you look mahhhvelous! We all have doubts about ourselves (which I'm finding out from this forum) - that's why this forum is so helpful. We bounce things off of each other - the more we chat - the more others learn. I know I'm learning a lot from reading everyone's comments. Thanks for the web site Joe!! Keep a positive attitude and do your best - as you said in a previous post - that's all anyone can do. Right? BTW - I learned something from your post - I also have a problem getting dark - last contest I was "sprayed" 3 times and still had 2 coats of pro-tan. Next contest I'm going to try Dream Tan. Is there a Dream Tan 1 and 2 - what 's the difference? Keep smiling in your photos - it makes a big difference!! |

Topic: Tonia's Journey to my Pro-Card!! Tonia, Sean - I know exactly where you are coming from. I think either you're built for it - mentally and physically, and psychologically or you're not. At 40 something I finally found my nich. My husband keeps saying to me "I couldn't diet like you do - aren't you hungry?" Uh duh - all th time. And people in the gym say to me - I don't want to hurt tomorrow - I tell them that's what I live for. I love feeling the pain the next day - especially in the legs - I like not being able to sit on the toilet without assistance for a few days after I work legs - I know I've "really" worked them

Topic: Leg Training Yup I'm definately doing Nancy's show - her shows are great, if you ever get the chance - very organized. Perfect for Type-A like myself. I'm really psyched for the show in May - probably cuz I know what to expect this time around. I'm not out for the Pro-Card just yet - probably the only one on this site that isn't. I want to win the Masters first and place in the Open- that's my goal for May

Topic: Recipes Gunshow - I have one for Chicken - A one pan dinner Ingredients - chicken breast - cut in small pieces - Vegetables - onions, broccoli, yellow squash, zucchini, green beans, peppers, etc- cut in very small pieces - Brown Rice - cooked/plain, Seasonings - ginger powder, cumin, curry powder, pepper In a hot pan with pam or olive oil - if daily fat allows - season chix then saute chix quick, browning edges - remove from pan, cook veggies the same way, add rice, season all and spray a bit of pam, mix to incorporate the seasonings into veggies, chix and rice. This can be cooked in a wok too Have fun experimenting and enjoy! |
