Topic: ****Fantasy Camp '09**** Sean That sucks about the hamstring. I know right after the workout you mentioned that it was the Ham that mostly had your attention. Mine was more in the quad though not injured just smoked! How long do you have until the MA camp? |

Topic: ****Fantasy Camp '09**** For the first time in my life, I am tempted to shamelessly use my powers on this website...and take down that picture that was posted of me. Terrible! That was taken before I actually fixed my hand positioning...I was digging my thumbs in too hard...its just a fist now, which cuts down on the back fat. Speaking of back fat...try to not ever look at that picture again. Cool? I'll post some pics up when I look like a bodybuilder, I promise. :)

Topic: ****Fantasy Camp '09**** I need to dig deeper - but all I know is nitric oxide is the most powerful/harmful free radical in the body and the body just happens to use this byproduct of respiration to help control blood flow. To take it around the clock is like saying rat poison will give me a great pump, so I'm going to use it all day long. I like the caffeine and sugar in the drinks - that's where you're getting 90-99% of your benefit (as well as the water it's in - if you just hydrate well, you'll lift more, be fuller, stronger, etc.)

Topic: ****Fantasy Camp '09**** On another note, Joe. I watched the part of the peaking lecture where you talked about NO xplode type products and the kinda dumb science behind pumping free radicals into your body. Supercharge is a NO type product correct? For those killer workouts what do you reccomend besides a poptart, supplement wise for a Kick in the butt? I dont like taking BOOSTERs all the time simply because i adapt to the caffeine relatively quickly. Is it OK to take a supercharge NO supp once every two weeks say for Deads or Squats? Or anything better out there that would be good to take to send your adrenaline and intensity through the roof every so often?
I always take the high road and tell friends my age to avoid taking supp this supp that, and take in good clean food, but sometimes its fun to feel like a MONSTER |

Topic: ****Fantasy Camp '09**** I have to watch Joe's lectures about 4 times to get the principles down. Alot of that material is over my head, but i like the fact that i can at least keep up somewhat. Way better than when i first started. Footage almost done loading up. 1 more tape to go then EDITING! I want to get lecture up FIRST then edit some of the training footage. Actually first is snapshots so joe can document his New PR!

Topic: ****Fantasy Camp '09**** lucas- where you day dreaming in class again??? yeah that makes sense because if you think about it, if you get 300cho a day you'd have to eat 15 meals a day!!! no realistic or productive..you'd be eating too much and too often to take into body fat. i think lucas will be studying the film now! LOL :) |

Topic: ****Fantasy Camp '09**** You missed part of the context. The question asked and answered was for how much your blood stream could handle (carbs) to not be creating insulin spikes high enough to create storage and regarding protein, how much your body can effectively use in one meal. After I answered with the quote you laid down, I continued that those with faster met rates need more in a directly relative sense. Keep studying the film, Junior - be like Peyton.

Topic: ****Fantasy Camp '09**** Question after rewatching the first lecture on peaking/nutrition.
You mentioned that a good balance of carbs per meal and protein per meal would be 15-20cho and 20-30g prot( i believe). With a metabolism such as mine, relatively fast, would it be more wise of me to split up the 375c and 250p up into 10-12 meals or what not? or bigger meals is fine? I know in offseason it isnt as BIG A DEAL, but trying to get some ideas squared away for next time around. Or it might be more optimal in offseason. |

Topic: ****Fantasy Camp '09**** Dave Goodin said, and I agreed, that every time we've taken a week or two off at regular intervals, the lack of activity makes us feel worse, then we're weaker, get more sore, etc, so we don't take time off. BUT, we do take a workout off when we need, we skip a particular body part for a week or two when we need, we lessen the load and periodize when we need, we just don't take off a scheduled amount of time.

Topic: ****Fantasy Camp '09**** Looks like i missed out on all the fun. I will be able to go next time. Sheesh i need to see Kori just for the anxiety i am having post-fake-id event HA. I am not that kind of person NEVER have been. I had a mini panic attack right then and there and on the way home the next day telling Sarah about the whole funny incident, my heart rate sky rocketed and i felt nauseous. I must in some way be related to George Washington. Sorry Mr. Bronco, i mean TONY for losing your I.D.
I will get pics up here, stills and such after i get 7+hrs of footage loaded. Which could take a whole day to do. But i will get on it. Watched three tapes tonight.....great stuff. Will start Dloading tomorrow.
Thanks to everyone for making me feel welcome. |

Topic: ****Fantasy Camp '09**** I'm sure Lucas will get some good training shots as well. And even Jordan. Those will be fun to see! Thanks again for all who came - just can't say enough about how great this experience is....you guys come to experience what may become a highlight of your career with some of the legends of the sport and it's the staff that walk away equally as inspired. Thanks to the staff who made it possible as well - Goodin, Whitacre, Kornblum, Propst, and McCauley. And thanks to Bronco for being such a huge help as a staffer and participant both.

First Brian annihilated my back on Friday and then Dave finished me of with chest yesterday. Awesome, awesome weekend! Thanks Dr. Joe, Brian, Dave, Sean, Kori, Tony and everybody for a very memorable camp! When's the next one? |
