I'm not surprised.  You've had a lot going on this winter and you've been working a ton!  Take care of yourself.  We need you around here.

Tuesday was Back/bi & Weds was a good leg workout.

Today, Thursday, got called into work, no lifting but I can still get in a cardio.

I went to the doctor & my B/P is high.  I better get serious about my diet again.

Wow, busy schedule!  It must be great to have a training partner.  Sometimes I am afraid to go heavier and if I had a spotter I would probably go for it.  I am sure you have put on some beautiful lean body mass.  Are you competing in the spring?

Sorry I've been gone.....I've worked 6 of the last 7 days.  I'm so tired!

I have to buy groceries- I just ate a bowl of stale Trix cereal because there is nothing else in the house!  I feel yucky now!

Workouts- hit & miss- heavy chest, shoulders, triceps yesterday.  Training partner is out of town, Jamie spotted me.  Highlights- decline bench 115#.  Today, I can barely scratch my nose.   I've done some treadmilling & recumbant bike, but that is about it.

I have two days off.  I plan to get in some good workouts.

Craig, you are right, it opened our eyes fast to think that anyone at anytime could kick down 2 doors & get to us.  Thanks for the well wishes.

Char, his shirt says, "Warning, I have an attitude & I know how to use it."

I agree with Craig, cute picture.  I'm curious, what does the rest of the "Warning" shirt say?

That was just way too scary and close!  Really kind of opens your eyes a bit to know that it could happen to any of us at any time.  I'm really glad that you and your family are safe and that your Christmas was great.

Cute kids!

God bless!

Oh my gosh, Shellie, that is scary!!!!  Yes, hug those kids!!!!  And doggie gets an extra treat for Christmas too!!!!  That is just way too close to home.  This time of year brings out the craziness in people.  I'm glad to hear they caught the guy and everyone will recover.

yeah maybe I'll consider a stronger door too- save me some effort.  Couple weeks back, I  had a man come into the house who got nasty.  But I just manhandled him, and dragged him out and off the property.  But hmmm, a stronger door...with a lock...Undecided smart.  smart.

Thanks for all your support.  I'm freaked out, but I am going to look into a stronger front door & an alarm.

Thank God they caught the man that night, he planned to kill more people.

He is in jail, he is charged with attempted murder & many other things I can't remember.  Both victims are going to be fine.  The one across the street was very ill & in the ICU for a couple of days but he will be ok.

I worked today, I am off Christmas eve.  I didn't get up early & lift or to do cardio today, I haven't slept very well the last few nights & I overslept this a.m.  When I finally go to sleep I almost can't get myself up!

Wow, that is frightening Shellie.  I think your dog did save your lives on this one.  Makes me think we should get another dog here.  You must be freaked out, I would be hugging my kids too.

Omg, that is scary!  I'm so glad everyone is ok.  That is such a scary feeling when something like that happens right next to you and you didn't even know it was going on.  At least they caught the guy and he's not still out there.  Thank goodness you had the dog.

How is the victim?

This is a trauma that may take some time to work through.  I'm sorry to hear this.

Good to see you posting hot stuff.

Oh my gosh, that is awful.  I am so glad you are all ok.  Unfortunately the world is a scary place.  With two five year olds not in school yet and all the crazy things going on, I am so scared to send them off to school.

I am also glad that young man survived.  wow, I wish you better days ahead!

Tori & Pam, Thanks for stopping by.

I'm better but tired (from working a lot.)

We had a scary incident- living in smaller town, you think you're safe.....

Thursday night, our neighbor across the street was stabbed.  It was a random act by a psychotic person.  A 25 year old Paranoid Schizophrenic man broke down the storm door & the main door to the house & stabbed a 19 college student.  Later, he (supposedly) told the police he was going to break into a different house but the dog in the yard scared him.  (we're the only house around that has a dog outside.) Our little Jack Russell Terrier, Skip, may have saved our lives.  That night, we heard Skip barking like there was a demon in the yard.  (I think there may have been.)

We have been very thankful that we are all safe & well.  The young man he stabbed is alive & will be ok.   I keep hugging the boys & they think I'm weird.  I don't care, I just keep hugging them.

Glad to hear you are better and truly sorry to hear that you got sick.  I so relate.  My students get sick and come to my office to tell me how ill they are and why therefore they can't go to lecture or lab.  Of course they get me sick in the process.  I am always amused though by the thought that if they are well enough to come to my office then they should be well enough to get to their physician, which imo is tons more useful than coming to visit me as I can't do anything for them.  LOL!

Hope you have a great day!

We have a snow day, again, today.  I'm not sure why.  It's 43 degrees, and wet, not icey.  I guess bad weather is coming.  The basketball game was cancelled for tonight too.  What to do?  I'm thinking game night!  Woohoo!!!  Maybe I'll go pick up a Pictionary game.  I haven't played that in years.  You've inspired me.  Or maybe, "Finding Neverland"  Johnny Depp, huh?  He's the best pirate ever!

Thanks Char, I needed to hear that today.  :)

I am trying to have balance but I feel so frazzled sometimes I doubt I'm even close to it.

I watched "Finding Neverland," a couple of weeks ago & Johnny Depp's character said, "Little boys should never be put to bed because they always wake up one day older."  It made me realized I don't have much time left until they're grown & gone.  Cry

I am feeling better.  I just went to the gym & did bi/tri workout- nothing earth shattering but I felt good getting something done.

I hope you're feeling better.  Sounds like you at least accomplished the most important thing - time with kids.  I admire you for that.  I have regrets about always being too busy to just sit back and play.  You can never get that time back.  You truly have balance.  I am just now learning it.

I didn't get the cookies baked or weights lifted.  I did cardio, time with kids, laundry but that was about it.

Monday at work, I began to feel nauseated, left work early & missed work on Tues & Weds.  Today, I'm feeling better.   I caught the G.I. Virus that was circulating the hospital.  Darn sick people keep coming to my floor.  (they aren't supposed to visit the baby floor when they have a virus!)

Today, I plan to lift weights & be room mother for Scott's Christmas party.

Just checkin' in.  How are things with you?  What cookies did you bake?  I haven't baked cookies in so long.  I may make muffins over the holiday though.

Did you get cookies baked?  I'm having difficulty dealing with not getting to do that stuff this year.  On the other hand, it's less stressful, but it doesn't feel like Christmas.

Saturday night:  Christmas parties were fun, I am glad I went.

Sunday:  Slept late, I had a headache.  I didn't really drink, I'm not used to staying up so late!  LOL!

Today:  clean house, lift weights, cardio, bake Christmas cookies, spend quality time with the kids....... I may not get it all done.   Wink
