Hey Guys,

I'm going to tread into unchartered water here. I'll try to be eloquent but if I mess it up, understand that I have the best of intentions. Dan stated that he is proud. That makes me happy. I am proud as well but maybe in a different sense. Listen to this carefully. "I am proud that a man was not excluded from being elevated to the position of president based on his color". Which is different from "I am proud that America elected a black president". They may sound the same, but are conceptually very different. I believe (and who am I?) that the first statement comes much closer to the concept of "equality". The second statement infers that a man was elected, in part, BECAUSE of his race. I don't believe the second statement gives Obama enough credit. Now, he was not my choice but none-the-less I feel he is a man of great intelligence and grace. I would rather not cheapen his accomplishments. As Dan stated, I too am excited to see some "maturity" from the American public. I hope this came out alright. I really did not want to touch this subject for fear of my sometimes abrasive New England articulations being misinterpreted.

Awesome seminar once again!!!!! Boy this sport attracts the most incredible people (oh yeah and athletes as well ). I had a blast as usual. Thanks for the kudos on the motivation lecture. You guys are an easy group to get going....just a little nudge. I had a great time at dinner and, as much as I tease him, had a great time hangin' with my "brother from another mother" Dr. Joe. I gotta let you guys know what kind of guy Joe is. We got home from the seminar, unloaded the car and tried to wind down for a while. We probably got to sleep around 11:30-12:00. My 9 year old son (Shawn) had a hockey game at 6:00 AM (yes, I said AM) the next morning. I suggested Joe get some extra sleep but Joe wouldn't hear of it. The Dude got up at 5:00 AM to attend my son's game. That, my friends, is a true gentleman and friend. He must have been good luck as Shawn's team etched out a close 2-1 victory. Thanks Buddy....Shawn really appreciated it.

Well JC....all I can say is "It's about time!" We all new it...we were just being "PC" about it. I mean, it is one of those things where everyone goes..."No shit!" Similar in some ways to the whole Michael Jackson/kid fiasco. I'm very proud of you making this big announcement. Even though there was not a soul on earth that didn't know, it is great to get some closure. Being a Dad, I'm also especially proud of the great photo you provided. Extremely heart-warming. Good luck with your newly proclaimed identity. You'll be better for it. You are "The Man" Jordan (well kinda).
