Topic: Protein bars

Ok I hear you guys, I guess a pre-made protein shake will have to do.  From 6am-till 11am I sometimes have no breaks

Topic: Timing

Thanks Mary, I don't want to piss in anybody's cherrios.

On another note I just tried the Diet Doc protein powder chocolate flavor.  Very good stuff, I especially like that it uses stevia as a sweetner and that the protein comes from the US.

Topic: Why not just count kcal's

I'm having this discussion with a friend who gets pretty lean from just counting calories.  He swears by it and teaches the same to his clients.  I know the thermic effect of food is important, but is there anything else I can throw out there that would help the argument for macro counting instead of just kcals?

Topic: The paleo diet

I understand where it could be to low carb, but if you could make it fit your numbers wouldn't it be better?  I'm thinking for someone like myself who is endo.

Topic: The paleo diet

I was wondering if anybody else has read this book.  Basically no starchy carbs, only veggies, fruit and lean meats.  Has anyone tried this?

Topic: Macros for fat loss

Thanks Dr. Joe

That picture is from '01 I was 185lb.  I'm too embarrassed to post an updated one.  You helped me go from 252 down to 214 a couple years ago and I forgot what macros you had said would keep me on track.  Anyways diet for me is mostly a mental state and I'm on that path.  I appreciate your guys feedback.

Topic: Macros for fat loss

I was interested in some input from you guys about macro amounts for fat loss for a 240lb male with 22% BF.  I was thinking 220pro 200carb 65 fat.
