Topic: Graig's Journey

Hang in there Graig.  Looking at this situation in a postive way as you are doing is half the battle.  As a credit manager, I have access to companies credit ratings so if you need any background info or just want to screen a potential employer (their financial stability, how they pay their bills, sales volume, etc.) just let me know and I'll do what I can to assist.

Topic: Embracing Change -Jane's Focus on Family & Growth

Jane - I just wanted to say the progress you have made has been tremendous. I noticed from your early posts that we are about the same age (I still have you by a couple years) ;>)

Keep up the great effort and enjoy the journey!

Topic: '08 Begins!

Joe - Thanks for the props on my show this past weekend.  I reached every goal I set for myself so I've decided to skip the Phoenix show and prepare to win the Tucson show next year.  I will email you tomorrow to get your thoughts on our new game plan.  Thanks for everything!

Topic: Tanning for competition

Wanted to get everyone's thoughts on how much tanning you do prior to your competition.

Jon Harris mentions on his website he does no tanning and then simply uses Dream Tan when he competes.  Since he is the best natural bodybuilder this side of Jim C, when he types I read...but have not read much of how others approach this part of competition.

I agree with the consensus on this board the combination of ProTan and Dream Tan works best and during my previous bodybuilding career used this combination as well.  I also remember spending a lot of time in tanning beds leading up to thosee competitions.  Out here in Phoenix we receive a good dose of natural sun just by being outside, but I am no where near as dark at 4 weeks out now as I was when I lived in the Midwest with the tanning bed help.

Please offer your thoughts.

Roger

Now that I live here in Phoenix

Pain is temporary but finishing is forever

If you think you can or you cannot.....you're right!

Topic: Beverly International

The best answer is you should use both Mus Provider and UMP.  The Mus Pro should be used pre and post workout while the UMP should be used upon waking and before bed.  Now having said this your question seems to be concerned with retaining muscle while restricting calories.  This will have a lot more to do with your carb cycling than what type of protein source you are using.

Topic: TIVO: What do YOU Watch?

Hi Mary -

I like The Wire (HBO) and The Shield (TNT).

I know you mentioned rivoting but a couple of unpredictable comedies I like are 30 Rock(NBC) and a canceled show that was really out there was Arrested Development.

Topic: Weak Points

TxAggie - You look great for 21 years old - Keep it up and soak up all the knowledge you can from  the experts on this board.

Mary - Very insightful feedback.  Everytime I read one of your post seems like I learn something new and helpful.

Graig - Are you still living in Belleville IL?  I lived in Collinsville and Troy IL most of my life before moving out to sunny Phoenix AZ 5 years ago.  Still have family in Belleville.

Topic: Introductions!

Hello Everyone - My name is Roger Fowler and I signed up with Team K this past summer.  Have been reading the posts and thought it was time I joined in on the fun.  I have been lifting for more than 25 years now and I hit the big 40 this year.  I plan a return to the stage in April and May 2008 after a 7 year hiatus from competing.  I have learned a lot from reading the forums and hope I might be able to return the favor by offering suggestions that may help others with their goals.  I am currently in the 9-10% bf range and with Joe's help will be show ready come April.  Very excited to return to the stage and look forward to sharing the journey with Team K members.
