Topic: Kimberly's Drive to Arrive on Stage! Quick update... 3+ months pregnant again, but baby's heart wasn't beating in the ultrasound. 2 ultra sounds confirmed a miscarriage, so I just had D&C surgery. I've gained approx 10 lbs all in my belly & butt & still wearing maternity clothing. My energy is gone. All I can say, is that I feel blessed with what I already have, & I'm doing great. I'm sure my husband & I will keep trying. Needless to say no competing for me unless they have a big belly division!!

Topic: Kimberly's Drive to Arrive on Stage! Back to work full-time, classes 2x/wk, a 21 month old, the market throwing us a curveball in a big way... something had to give. Classes are done now!! Yippee!! I wouldn't even let myself check this forum because I knew a couple minutes would turn into an hour or more. My workouts have been weak & my diet hearty. I stopped breastfeeding this week, so I'm expecting my energy to soar (still waiting). I can't wait to start training with Sean again in a few weeks.

Topic: Kimberly's Drive to Arrive on Stage! Craig- Yes, I enjoyed dinner too and agree about finding a place where everyone can mingle & stuff our faces with good food! I'm unable to do group training because my son & I are having difficulties with my new work schedule, school & daycare. All he wants is his mommy when I pick him up from daycare, & I don't have the heart to leave him at grandma's while I train. I'll arrange workouts so they don't take time from him (like while he's sleeping). Diet- no comment. Pre-planning is def my goal this week considering my new schedule Sleep- I'm doing much better Water- ahhh. I'm slipping into the coffee thing again!!

Topic: Kimberly's Drive to Arrive on Stage! Handrails- great idea Shellie. Today was my 1st day back to the office since Jackson's birth. I cried when I dropped him at daycare. He thought it was great that they had Elmo. Thank God that I only have to work part-time. I didn't lift today because when I picked him up, all I wanted to do was be with him till he went to bed. Dieting- not happening right now. I'm so hormonal with Jackson weaning thru the day, starting back to work, school & whatever else happens to the female body during this time. It's really hard to maintain focus, but if I keep my goals in front of me I know I'll get back on track. Glad to meet some Local Team K people at LA Grill. We sat by Dr. Joe's kids. You can tell a lot about people when you spend time with their kids. The kids were well mannered & mature way beyond their years. I loved the stories they told about how their parents met & their mom's childhood on the farm. They were so excited about every detail. That was great!

Sometimes my hubby takes me for date night at Lowes or Home Depot, then we hit the gym How was Zumba? I want to take your class. 110 is awesome! I haven't seen that # in a very long time. Topic: Kimberly's Drive to Arrive on Stage! I lived through Sean's leg routine, but Monday I was still lowering myself onto the toilet using all my upper body strength!! My dad taught my 18mo old to hit me in the thigh to see me whince in pain. I followed through with my goals except I'm waiting till I have a week's worth of data before I send it all to Joe. My weight is 130 which surprises me because I've eaten a huge amount of food the last few weeks. I have not had a cup of coffee!! I almost made some weak coffee yesterday, but I drank 1/2 gallon of water instead- too close to bedtime if you know what I mean :( Funda, I tried the Seltzer water, but I get no quench there on the thirst buds. Maybe I'll add some lemon & just use it to help with the fullness factor.
Today was Back Day (worked 1 solid hour)- Chin-ups (3 sets) Wide-grip Lat-pull downs (2 sets) Sumo Deads (4 sets) Bent over bar rows (5 sets) Low cable rows (2 sets) Upright cable rows (Not sure what to call these. I used the lat pull-down, but stood up & pulled the bar into my chest.) SS with Cable press downs DB Lawnmower pulls/rows (3 light sets) |

Topic: Posing suit question? Awesome info ladies!!! What would I be at 5'1 1/2"- Shrimp Amazon in training, yep that's me! The only show I was thinking about was the Evansville one. Is info posted anywhere regarding how much bling, fabric choice, color, cut, etc is allowed? I'm not a bling bling type girl. Patti- Sounds like it will fit as long as I pump all the milk out right before I go on stage, so they flatten like pancakes!! Too much info, sorry.

Topic: Some advice here Isn't it amazing what we can overlook in a person when everything is new & exciting, but the more time you spend w/them these once seemingly small things start to magnify to such a degree that you can't ignore them anymore. By the way...My husband & I are definitely challenged sometimes, but to be able to sit down & pour our hearts out to God together is amazing and is the glue that holds us so tightly. We need to make more time for this, so thanks to this thread that will change. It's no accident we're here on this thread- isn't that cool!

Topic: Kimberly's Drive to Arrive on Stage! Ok, leg workout tomorrow morning w/Sean. Thanks to Mary, the coffee maker is out the door & hopefully the binges stop. I even emailed Sean regarding my inability to stay focused, so I'm really glad Mary put into words what was going on with my body. Check out her thread- it's awesome! This week I will- Incorporate more cardio (3x next week for at least 30min). Sleep at least 8hrs/night (currently about 5-6hrs/night) Start keeping food macros again & sending to Joe Drink more water!!!

Topic: MARY FORD: WNBF AMAZON Thank you so much for that info. You have no idea how much you just helped me. I thought I was losing it. The past few weeks I drank more coffee than usual to stay warm & thought I'd ward off some hunger w/the extra fluid sitting in my gut (about 5 cups/day). This entire time, I've gone from one binge to the next (m&m's, tortilla chips, chewed up an Oreo & spit it out, bread pudding... the list goes on). I haven't kept track of macros, almost gave up & gained a few pounds. I'm going off coffee immediately to see if that helps me get my focus back. I'll work on the Splenda, but I need to learn to make your shake. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!! |

Topic: Embracing Change -Jane's Focus on Family & Growth Been to the boxing gym lately? Josh will love it. I start work again soon downtown at my hubby's office near where you work. If you have time during lunch when it warms up, we'll have to go for a run.Not until the weather reaches 60 for me. Your legs hurt from Sean's workout? I'm up for one either tonight or tomorrow.

Topic: Posing suit question? I searched for a web page for Caren or Caron suits, but didn't find any info. I want it to be flattering; however, I don't have the cash to spend more than $150 for my 1st suit. Am I being too cheap? I think I'm more of a candidate for figure competitions, so I'm assuming I need both a 1 & 2 piece (never been to a show before).

They have approx 6 loaves in the Organic/Natural food section of the frozen foods- top shelf above organic waffles (right around the corner from the eggs). Good Luck! |

TODAY WAS BACK DAY: Treadmill warm-up, Lat-pull warm-up #5 x 15, x 10 Wide-grip chins (no assistance/no wraps) x 4.5, x 4, x 3.5 Deads Bar x 12, 90 x 10 (2 sets) - kind of new to these, so I didn't get aggressive since I was training alone. Bent over Bar Rows x15, 50x15, 55x15, 60x15, 65x8 (only possible w/my wraps) D.B Rows 45x12, 50x10, 55x10, 60x10, 65x8 (I threw a set of cable low-pulls ss w/the 1st set. It didn't flow as a superset for me? I hate it when I do that.) Low Cable Rows #7x5 dropset #5x5; #6x8 dropset #4x8 Diet was right on all day till my freaking sweet grandma offered me bread pudding. Dang it, I'm so pissed at myself!! It was so good. I need to fill up on so much of something like water/coffee before I go over there. |

Topic: Kimberly's Drive to Arrive on Stage! I've followed the forum for a long time, but now I'm joining in for some much needed accountability in order to compete. I have my sights on 2008, BUT... ok there's no room for but (esp my butt) on stage. Goal 110-115 lbs- currently stuck at 128-130 (regaining those few pounds every weekend- I must assess & control). I've always been very active/athletic & eaten healthy, but HEARTY! I lost 60 lbs in 2007 by eating right & lifting (post pregnancy). Macros are currently prot 125-140, carbs 150-175, & fat 30-40. I lose approx 1 lbs/week when I stay in these ranges; however, I've not been as committed as I need to be. I haven't kept a food journal in 2 weeks, so I'm going to get my crap together & do it NOW! The plan is to work legs later tonight w/Sean (assuming he has time). I'll post the workout detail. I'll also try to post updated pics to show progress. When you see a butt shot, you'll know I've finally arrived!!! LOL. Heck, I should just post it now so you can stay on me about maintaining focus & see where I'm coming from. I have a Photobucket account, but not sure how to link it to this sight. |
