Alright campers, it's offical now so I thought I would start a thread where we can trade ideas about what to eat, who can bring what and anything else that comes to mind for that Friday evening.

1st question (for the wife/planner):  What time will training wrap up on Friday so she can know when to start cooking?

Limited planned menu provided (so far anyway): Some grilled chicken & white fish, salad greens with low fat dressings, green beans with sun dried tomato/onion/basil, grilled corn on the cob (with olive oil & seasoning), fresh fruit (variety), relish tray (fresh vegetables), baby fennel & red grapefruit salad, roasted new pottoes (with olive oil & seasoning) and low fat cheese cubes.

Please feel free to bring your favorites!   Bring your suits!  Prepare to have fun and get to know everybody even better!

OH!...and how many should we expect to see (including spouse, kids, friends, etc.)?

I'll bring some meat and potatoes for myself. Does anybody need me to bring anything?

Craig, do you have a pretty good sized yard that is fenced in? I ask because I might bring my dog if thats OK? He would be the first one in the pool though...so if you don't want him in there, just let me know and I will leave him home. No big deal either way.

Approx 1 acre lot in subdivision (no fence...just around immediate pool area), but you are welcome to bring him.  He won't eat my little Westie as a snack will he?  Tongue out

No problem if he gets in pool from our end as long as no one else cares????  Seriously, our dog loves other dogs...especially the big ones!

I will bring my own food, just to keep your guys' cost down. I know how expensive it can get to throw parties, so dont worry about me. I got a nice cooler so i will be set. Thanks though Craig.

I will try to let you guys know by tomorrow night if i am officially coming to the thing. Going to talk to the folks to finalize it.

Me, my husband, and son.  Doubt my stepson will come.  He's probably got to work.  I'll bring all my own food, and meat for the the family.   I'm excited.  I'll finally get to wear my new swimsuit! I can't wait!

Hey Craig.  Thanks for having everyone over.  I'd love to come.  I am flying in from Dallas and I believe Sean is picking me up at the airport so am not sure how I would get food.  Would it be okay to pitch in money for the party instead of bringing food as that would work better logistically due to flying in?

Sean, do you or does anyone else have room in their car to get to Craig's house?  Hope I don't seem like a mooch.  I'd be happy to pay for gas.  Thanks!

I hope I haven't given a wrong impression regarding food??  We will have quite a bit and everyone is welcome to it...just thought you might want to bring something IF you wanted something special or unique.

I understand if you want to bring your own but you don't need to! Wink

Brent...no need to pitch in or anything, we'll have plenty.  Just bring yourself!

Craig, if we have enough veggie trays and lean meat (and a digital scale), I'm sure everyone will be happy.  Just let me know what I can do food-wise.

Sean, if Bubba hits the pool, won't he have about 17 holes in the liner within 3 seconds?  Swimming with Bubba last summer left you looking line you got in a fight with Freddy.

Hmmm?  Good point...didn't think about liner vs. paw-claws.  Surprised

Craig - just let me know what you and Donna would like for me to bring.  I can whip up just about anything.  I'll have meat for our group.  Our group consists of me, Steve, Zeb, Shellie and Julie.

Joe is correct about pool liners.  If Bubba is trained to go to the steps you might be o.k., but the last dog we had in our pool cost us a new liner.  They don't mean to do harm, they just get excited, especially if children are present.  We now have a no dog policy.  Not even the granddogs.
