When I'm out doors I plug my IPod into heavy metal - and I'm fussy about exactly what the groups and songs are there. I have collected a bunch of suggestions from all your IPod lists; I have many of my own songs too. Now I love my play lists. However, I am on a continuous quest for metal and high speed alternative rock that doesn't scream through the whole song. I'm a closet romantic dork: When I'm cooking/baking: it's easy listening all the way-- love songs and Christmas carols! Metal is reserved only for cardio and training. But now I need some NEW suggestions from all my forum friends and family. I retreat to more indoor cardio with increasingly colder weather. To make this bearable, I have TIVO and three cardio machines in the basement and it's the only time I watch TV, ever. The advantage to this is that it gets me up at 5AM and I can FF past commercials and my cardio is done by 6AM. The disadvantage is I don't know what else is on TV or HBO - because I'm not watching live TV or commercials for upcoming shows-- (I have no patience for them.) So I am running out of recorded programs. Right now I'm catching up on Prison Break. Please help me with any suggestions for rivoting shows. Here is an added wrench: as "fussy" and as much as The Perfect Posing crew wants perfection with your posing -- I am like that with TV shows as well (anything I look at). I tend to like highly suspenseful and unpredicatable shows. For example "24" was boring and predictable after the first season, I didn't like "Lost" either. Remember this is something that has to get me through cardio at 5AM. Am I doomed? I am willing to record any of your suggestions, if I hate the show, I won't hold it against you or pose you in some terribly unflattering position. You know me by now; I will love you all the same. xoxo

Cool Shellie -- I have nothing from the Sci Fi Channel. awesome start. I hope people aren't shy: Maybe we have a forum of closet Oprah & Dr. Phil watchers? Jordan, Jim, Joe, Kerrie, Dan, Sean and Funda, Brad, Tyler, Tyler, Judy, Brian, Sumer, Joe O, MB, Terri & Reed you guys all watching Desperate Housewives? Jim - just saw your new Avatar -- post a few of those and that'll keep me going at 5AM. I like this one better than the last one. But I like your face best - (I sound like your mother.)

Do you like science? "Mythbusters" on the Discovery channel (I think) is one of my familys' favorites. Ghosthunters- they use scientific methods to determine if a place has paranormal activity (Haunted) Mythbusters- they try to prove or "bust" myths- like they investigated the question why pirates wore one eyepatch. It was so cool, they actually found the myth or story of why to be true. As you can see, my family & I are geeks. We love science shows.

My shows: 1) Dexter. Its on Showtime. For those that don't know, its about a friendly serial killer who works for the Miami police department as a blood splatter expert and only kills the murderers the cops don't catch. Its VERY well written, the cast is phenomenal and its my favorite show on TV. Outstanding. 2) House. Its on Fox. Great show. If you want something that you can never predict, there you go. Good luck figuring out the pathology before the cast does. HA! 3) 24. Love it. I am still watching old episodes to get caught up. Its somewhat predcitable, but not bad at all. Entertaining to say the least. 4) CSI Miami. Great show. Great cast. Cool stuff. 5) Curb Your Enthusiasm. Larry David at his finest. Say no more!!!! Those are NOT in any particular order...except that Dexter is by far my favorite.

I have to get Showtime Sean. Dexter is the only show on there that I haven't tried. Does Showtime tend to have other good movies and programs?

I'm going to dig deep for the geek in me Shell -- maybe I'll like myth busters. I said I was a dork, not a geek. LOL -- but there may be some dork/geek cross-genetics there in terms of tv viewing taste right? (totally teasing Shell-- I love you...keep'em comin' I'm programing everything you and Sean have written so far.)

Showtime has solid movies and they have some good shows too. Dexter is my fav, but Weeds is up there too. Great show for sure. Brotherhood is a Sopranos-like show...and they have been advertising a few new ones that are coming out soon. Oh, and Californication is a great show too. David Duchovny plays a burned out writer living in Hollywood. Halarious.

Hi Mary - I like The Wire (HBO) and The Shield (TNT). I know you mentioned rivoting but a couple of unpredictable comedies I like are 30 Rock(NBC) and a canceled show that was really out there was Arrested Development.

"My name is Earl" redneck humor. You might get a laugh from it. I know you're teasing, Mary.

Well, I can see I have been called out. First, I am not an Oprah or Dr. Phil fan. i tried watching the shows with my mom but I just can not sit and watch without flipping out. I didn't want to reply earlier because my answers are sure to get scrutinized. Here we go anyway; my favorite shows are actually out of season right now. They include "Making the Band 3", "So You Think You Can Dance", "Beauty and the Geek", "Dancing with the Stars", and if you want to get fired up, "I Love New York 2", she will make you so furious you mile time on the treadmill will improve by a 60 seconds for sure.

Mary, NETFLIX...then you can get all of the shows you want and watch them whenever. 24 is an awesome show. If you haven't seen it from the beginning, grab season one and go...you won't want to get off of the cardio! It's that good! I love FoodTV, but then again I just love food! That may not be a good suggestion. I'm addicted to Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, 24...and HGTV.
