I'm looking forward to competing this fall in my first pro show. I'm doing the IFPA Pro International in DC in Oct.
I never thought I'd step on a pro stage. In May of 2003 I competed in my first show just to "see if I can do it". It took me 9 weeks to get ready for that show if you can believe that. Needless to say, I didnt look my best. But I never knew anything about the sport. In fact, my diet started out by pulling a diet out of Muscle & Fiction and just adjusting the calories to me. Ha! Looking back...that's nuts! Each year I get a little better. And over the past two seasons I've worked with Craig (Cytrainer) and he's helped me to look my best.
Bodybuilding being my hobby, is not always my highest priority, but definitely one of my biggest passions. Family and health will always be my biggest priorities, and this year bodybuilding will be very high on the list.
I'm currently not training (not much....legs and abs only right now) as I've just had surgery 3 weeks ago. So I'll be easing back into lifting when doc says I'm ready and not when I think I'm ready. I made that mistake last year and ended up having surgery again this year.
I'll be working with Joe this year. Joe will help me to break through to that next level. I want to be able to feel worthy to step onto the pro stage with so many women I've looked up to over the past 5 years. I'm looking forward to it.
I'm ready to go and I'm fired up! ![]()
