I have been browsing through the forum for a little while now and I am happy to finally introduce myself. My name is Annette and I just signed on with Joe to get me ready for an INBF show November 1st. I will be competing in figure. I have done shows before, but in the NPC. Being natural I am finding I just can't keep up with the "big girls". I found Joe's site and learned about the INBF. He seems super nice as does Kori, who I have also chatted with recently. I did an NPC show in May and started to get out of shape with all the summer parties and cookouts, so I figured I better do another show. I am so happy to have found Joe and this forum. Everyone seems so nice, helpful and supportive. I start my prep this coming Sunday and I am looking forward to a nice change. I have worked with some other well known coaches, but I think their prep methods ended up costing me a lot of muscle. I don't think they knew how to deal with my body type. I am very excited because I have read a lot of Joe's articles and he seems to really be in touch with preparing programs based on an individuals body type. Hello to everyone and I will keep you posted on how things go, and I am sure I will be all over the forum with questions.

Annette - Welcome! Joe is da man! Best decision you'll ever make. Joe will fine tune you and he'll end up knowing your body better than you do. It's just amazing what he can do as long as you listen to him and follow his direction. Looking forward to watching your progress in the future.

Thanks, that is great news. I really need someone who can help me out. I have the weirdest body ever. I have long lean limbs, but a wide blocky midsection. One always suffers in the quest to improve the other. If I try to lean out so I can whiddle my middle, my arms and legs get stringy. If I try to build up my limbs, then my midsection balloons up like the pillsbury dough boy. I can't win. If he can help me out with some much needed symmetry, then yes, he is da man. But seriously, I haven't known him long and he seems like the best!

Well, today was another horrible eating day, so I decided to start the diet tomorrow instead of Monday. After trying to keep a super clean diet and stay lean and do a lot of cardio, I broke down a couple of weeks ago and its been an eating frenzy. That was why I sought out Joe in the first place and at first I was going to start in September, then I said no, I don't want to get too far off track, so Monday, but after yesterday and today......ugh, I better start tomorrow. I think Joe was going to shoot me today. I bombarded him with questions about the timing of cardio and meals. I want to get it set up for the best fat burning possible. I only have 12 weeks until my show. I am really glad to start dieting (of course we'll see what I say in a few weeks... hee hee). Anyway, we finally figured out a plan and I am ready to dive in head first....This is going to be quite a ride and I can't wait to be super lean in for my INBF debut. I hope to meet some of you at the Seminar on 27th. I am looking forward to it.

ok, I got on the scale today and I was a bit mortified. I was 122.5 lbs. I haven't weighed myself in so long because I was afraid. I have been eating non stop. Its funny, in January, when I prepared for my May show, I was 136 (after a bulk with the last coach) and when I got down to 123, I was thrilled. Now at the same weight I feel fat! I guess because I came in at 112.5 for the show. However, at 5'6", all my friends and family (even the judges) said I looked too thin. I competed at 114.4 at all the shows before that and was still told I need more size. I have managed to put on some muscle though. I can tell. I have a hard time putting on muscle (too bad I can't say that about fat!). I think a good competition weight for me right at this point in time would be about 114-115 ish, I would have to see how I look because I need to be super lean to show the muscle I have and keep my midsection trim. So basically, I have 12 weeks to lose about 8-9lbs. Or I may need to lose more. We'll see. Gosh, I hope that is enough time. I am freaking out already. My last show I was 123 about 5 weeks out and still came in at 112.5 but that was with about to 13 hours of cardio per week! Well, today I will try to keep damage to a minimum because I am throwing a party today but Sunday is game on for 12 weeks!
