Or as my grandsons say, “Granny yur cwazy!” Well it’s time for me to start a thread so I can make myself accountable for my training and diet for the August show. Plus, I could use the support on certain days. I competed in Bodybuilding back in the 80’s and moved on to many other sports. I’ve been married to the love of my life, Steve, for 32 years and I’m the mother of two grown sons and have two great daughter-n-laws! (hear that Jen?) But the best part is I have two adorable grandsons (4 & 6) that I live for daily. There is nothing sweeter than grandbabies. Finding Dr. Joe and Sean was a godsend. I can’t express enough the admiration I have for these two. Thru them I’ve been able to regain my life and body back! Wahoo! I finally feel like me again and that feels oh so good. Sean, the enabler that he is, tried talking me into competing again. In the back of my mind I wanted too, but then again I’m 52 years old. So what the heck was I thinking when I said “yes”. I feel that it would be the greatest honor to compete on the same stage as my younger son Zeb come August. It doesn’t get any better than that and I also get to see how hard I can push this old body again! Currently I’m 16 ½ weeks out from contest and 21 pounds down since December 30, 2007. Biggest challenge that got me started was Zeb challenging me to not drinking. We’re at the lake almost every weekend in the summer so this is a big challenge, but so far it’s not been a problem. I am looking forward to a homemade top shelf margarita on August 2nd around 10:00pm. I'll have at least three gallons with me that night. Yes, I'll share. Good luck to everyone come August and I’m so looking forward to meeting all of you. Also looking forward to your input and support. *************************** Tuesday’s cardio – non training day Lunch time – treadmill - 4.5 miles racewalking = 45 minutes Evening – treadmill - 4 miles running while watching “Biggest Loser” – now that’ motivating. *************************** Wednesday’s cardio – *legs with Sean tonight (lunges in the parking lot for sure) Lunch time – treadmill – 4.5 miles racewalking = 45 minutes

Patti - Good to see you start a journal and get back on the stage again. You rock sista! And btw - I had my ass kicked by a 53 yr old woman in a posedown for the overall a few years back. No reason you can't kick some serious ass yourself.

Too cool! Granny Gone Wild....love it!!! 'Bout time you started a thread so we can follow your progress. Also, it's always fun when you can participate in anything that also involves your kids. Enjoy it!

I see your comment, but you left one thing out, you have 2 wonderful grand dogs. How could you forget. Congrats on starting your page, now if you could only get your son to do it too.

Oh yes, can't forget about my granddogs Harley & Bailey. They're part of the family too. I'm working on Zeb and I'll get him started with a thread.

Kori- he won't do them with us. He just wants to yell at us to go lower! He likes bossing us around. Better not smack talk too much. I've got a training session with him tonight.

When we're at the lake it's much worse. Those barge workers never know what it going to flash upon them when we pass them! And we're old enough we don't give a crap anymore, but we have fun anyway!
