I have been a clinet of Joe's for almost a year now, and I have learned so much from him and all of you its amazing. I am starting this new thread because I realize how important it is to have daily support in your life for a passion that not everyone shares or understands. I have only competited once this year in May and I have slide down a dark path of a micronutrient suicidal mission. I know most of my triggers are emotional and stress but when I am in a rthym nothing can push me off course. I start this thread to find my rthym and fall in rthym with all of you with your dedication and hard work to your health. As for me I am 25 y/o, former DI basketball player (I miss it alot). I currently hold my NSCA CSCS , NSCA CPT I have a BS in health sciences and going on my last semester of my Doctrate degree in Physical Therapy. This is where most of my stress comes from. The only thing missing from this list is a pro card which I will have one day. Goals for this week is to prepare my food the night before everyday, and get all my cardio in: AM cardio is an automatic for me its the HIT cardio after weights or the PM cardio thats hard for me. I welcome any and all suggestions

Hi and welcome. Wow, you have a great resume. Are you planning on competing again? If so, when? Is that why you are doing double cardios. If you want your pro-card, then I am sure you will get it. Its a great goal.. We are all here for you. We have all been down that dark path, but with Joes help and all our support, you will get through it

Sean - thats right one more semester, Im in a love hate relationship right now with school, I hate it and will love it when im done! I might be alittle out of the loop but would love to attend Fantasy camp in Jan, but what are the dates ? I have clinical rotations to start in Jan, its pretty much like nazi camp and you can't miss a day. I am looking for shows in the future, would love to conqure the first show i did in May here in my home town. My goal now is to keep the diet on point, See what progress I can make and hit 2009 with acouple of shows. Feeling really dialed in right now. I know I am an extremist, im either 100% in or 100% out, right now im in ! Last 3 days micros and cardio on point! LOVE IT

I really feed off of everyone and have found it super helpful myself in staying focused and on track. I am an educator and teach at Northeastern in Boston so I understand how hard you are working right now to finish up your PhD and good for you :) Have a great day!

Good for you. One step at a time. Yes, weekends can be tough if I have a family get together (we're Italian so its all about food) or even worse, if I am just hanging out around the house. However, if I am busy and out and about with the kids, the weekends are actually even better. Key is to keep busy. That is why December is usually pretty status quo because there are parties but I am also busy and out and about. I am supposed to have a carb up today as well, 250g, but I am frankly quite nervouse to go that high. But I will do what Joe says and I am sure I will feel fine about it if I keep it clean like you said. Ezikiel, brown rice , etc. Here's to a good weekend!

KB, weekends are my worst time to. I've had a binge the last 4 weekends. Like Annette says, staying busy helps. I have a jam packed weekend. I'm making sure that I don't have too much time alone. And I will have a very conservitive cheat meal today. No desserts! Those seem to be what set the downward spiral in to motion. I taped the phrases "Food is Fuel" and "I am not a garbage disposal" on my fridges to remind me to think before I indulge. It also helps tme o get on the forum when I'm having a problem. Just reading everyone's posts helps to keep my mind off the food. Good luck. You can do it!

Same for me. Weekends or any day I work from home are tough. Especially if I'm home alone. Boredom. Not focused. That's when I find myself bingeing as well. To help keep me in check, I decided to check in on the forum before starting my day and getting some good energy from everyone. I love your idea, Jane. I'm going to post those same phrases on my refrigerator/pantry. You're not alone KB. We're all in this together! Stay strong!
