CHOCOLATE CRANBERRY BROWNIES – 100g = 16/22/3.7

90g Oat Flour

80g Oat Bran

40g Oat Meal

75g Protein Powder – Bev Intl UMP Chocolate (49/10/7)

75g Protein Powder – BSN Lean Desert Choc Fudge (43/15/6)

1 Cup Whole Cranberries

1 Tsp Cinnamon

1 Tbsp Flax Meal

1/3 Cup Unsweetened Applesauce (0/9/0)

150g FF Greek Yogurt  (15/6/0)

2 Tsp Baking Powder

4 Tbsp Cocoa Powder (4/2/2)

If you have the fat add a Tbsp of Olive Oil (not in macros)

Combine dry ingredients (no protein powder)  in  bowl.  Mix yogurt, applesauce, oil (if using) in large bowl or food processor slowly add protein (you may need to add about 1 ½ cups of water – add slowly) should make a thicker then pudding consistency.  Slowly add the dry ingredients.  Fold in cranberries.  Bake @ 350 degrees for at least 10 – 12 minutes.  With the Beverly protein it takes about a ½ hour and the knife comes out clean.  I would cook closer to 12 -15 w/ other protein powders and let the knife come out a little dirty.

This recipe is pretty forgiving - I will tweak the "flours" sometimes depending on what I'm allowing myself.

Beverly protein makes a huge difference in keeping this from being dry.

I've done this with Bev Cookies and Cream and Blackberries instead of Cranberries (with the cranberries is good too w/the Cookies and Cream) and dropped the cocoa and swapped the BSN protein for their Cinnamon Roll or just used only Bev. - that one is delicious.

looks great dog...do you make your own oat flour by grinding oatmeal? can you drop the cocoa powder if you are using a chocolately protein powder.

lucas you could probably lower the carbs with less flours..right dog?

Lucas, macros are on the top (per 100g) - if you use exactly these ingredients - If not obviously they are going to change.  I build my recipes in Fitday the first time or if I change ingredients get the aggregate macros/calories - tweak to what I need and weigh the finished product the first time so I can get the macros per gram.

Its a brownie of course the carbs are on the higher side!!!  - I have tweaked it with different flours and quantities to brings the carbs down.

We didn't find them chocolatey enough even with the two chocolate protein powders - I also started using unswt choc. almond milk instead of water to help with the chocolate.    Just be careful Bev protein powders keep things moist most others turn baked goods into hockey pucks!!

I have a choc souffle recipe that fixes the carb issue.  ;-)

Jane, make 'blondies'.  I'll bet they'd be yummy with vanilla and cranberries.

Jane it comes out great with Beverly's Cookies and Cream (but that has little chocolate cookie bits if your that sensitive) and I have heard there Vanilla is good - so GO FOR IT - it will be delicious!!
