Hey everyone,
I thought we should have a thread for introductions. My name is Sean McCauley. I graduated from Creighton University in 2003 with degrees in both Exercise Science and Philosophy. I am a 26 year amateur bodybuilder who is chasing that ever-elusive WNBF Pro Card.Having competed 3 times already in the NANBF, I am now entering Open classes from here on out and as a part of Team Klemczewski, I am ready to take my bodybuilding to the next level and be competitive for that pro card!

Good idea, Sean - I'm Joe, I like long walks on beaches, cheesecake....oh, wrong forum ; ) Yo, Brian, how do we download pictures by our names? I want to put a picture of a hippo's butt for mine. A little off the subject, but that reminds me - speaking of squatting on the training thread - I got a DEXA bone scan of my whole body to get body comp, and if you've never seen one, it shows your skeleton and then the muscle density, as it increases in areas, shows up much darker. So, my legs and enormous butt are incredibly dark, round, large and then due to the musculature lightening up as you move away from my trunk it looks like an X-ray picture of Sasquatch. It's the funniest looking thing - like a Silverback Gorilla lying on the table. Maybe I should use that as my pic.

I am a native of Des Moines, IA. How about you?
I gotta get a DEXA scan sometime...that would be awesome. It would be even more awesome if I could get it done about a week out from contest. :)

Hey everyone,
My name's Sumer and I'm preparing to do my first figure comp. in Apr. I've been wanting to achieve this goal for a long time..along with getting my training certification...I'm studying that now. Like I'm sure many on here I'm devoted to this lifestyle and couldn't imagine day to day without it. I'm hooked;) I'm ready to get to my next level..just to be in the condition to step on stage is something I earnestly look forward too. Nice to meet all of you! Have a great day!

Hello all, Joe I am going to post instructions on setting up the picture by your name. Check back after the weekend but I will try and get to it tonight.
I also need to update this forum so line breaks show up as line breaks. Sorry.

Hey, Sumer - glad you logged on!! Looking forward to getting started next week!
Mary, Mary, Mary...I guess I'm glad you logged on too ; ) I may make my rounds to all the pro shows this year - as a spectator, munching on Reece's Pieces and trail mix - 8 months of dieting this year makes me want a nice, long vacation. I was talking to another pro and mentioned a new competitor being in the "honey moon phase" of bodybuilding and she said, "Yeah, I'm in the married-too-long phase." That's a riot to a guy who's been training longer than Layne's been alive : )

Cool, Steve! Hey, did you get any second place votes in the International? I got 2 third place votes so I thought maybe those judges gave you seconds?

You should have seen him live at the International. He gave new meaning to the word grainy. Reviewing the video as he began his routine, I told my wife that he is my client who placed third, right ahead of me. She said, "You look better than him, you're way bigger..." I said, just wait until you see his glutes. On cue, he turns to do a side chest, his glutes just "zipper up" beyond just "striated" and my wife, said, "Oh." That's all that needed to be said. You're a freak, Steve - this year we're going for the same hardness with some extra fullness. I can keep you in the top-3 in many pro shows if you can repeat that nastiness : )
