Here is a quick question

First I am assuming a good pre bed meal is better than nothing at all correct? How soon before bed?

My last meal with a good amount of carbs is at 8. I usually go to bed around midnight. So would something like 1 serving of fat free cottage cheese (15 p 5 carbs) fifteen minutes before bed be a good idea, anyother ideas? Is this something to avoid in dieting?

 Thanks

Josh

Are you dieting?

I believe Joe told me that small amounts of carbs if you are going to bed around 2-3 hrs after is fine. Like 10 or less. More than that you are looking at going to bed around midnight.

Joe?

I remember you helping my anxiety on something like this, but its been a while

What i do is if i am up late. I have more carbs and eat it about 4hrs before bed or longer. I usually go to bed around 1030 so at 9 i have a rice cake and 1tbsp pbutter and .5 scoop whey

Interesting to see what Joe says

I tend to have 60 carbs around 8, with a some fat and protein too. But come 10 I am starving again, and in the morning I am to the point of being sick. So i figured something before bed would do the trick. Again it is often midnight before I get to bed.

You are right, lets see what Joe, and the others, have to say.

Get something that will stick with you. Fat is good for that will make you feel more satieted for longer. Like i do PButter. Those carbs are going to make you hungry. Thats a legit meal, but then again you are extreme ecto.

I know what you mean about waking up sick, You are just so hungry you cant sleep? ME TOO haha

Check out Ultimate Muscle Protein by Beverly International.  The cookies and cream flavor is yummy.   One scoop with 2/3 C water and 1/3 C crushed ice in a blender is like a super thick ice cream shake and very filling.  Only 125 cals  20g protein, 4 g carbs and 3 g fat.

Since you're eating 18,000,000 calories per day and are at 8% bf, I'd not worry about the time before bed as a hard rule, Josh, but I'd always suggest not having carbs with the last meal if you're dieting.  Again, you're not dieting - a little carb there is fine.  You don't have to eat right before bed, though - not the best for digestion....just don't go to bed hungry.
