any thoughts on when/if to incorporate posing as a conditioning practice for a contest?

ABSOLUTELY!  the more you practice posing the more conditioned you will be for the stage. while the other competitors will be fading and able not to hold their legs you will be getting harder and stronger on stage. it also helps the way joe peaks us because you are hydrated and carbed up properly you will be energized and ready to rock. i find that the longer i stay on stage and get beat up by the judges the grainer and harder i get, but you gotta beat able to take the beating. so the moral of the story is to work up to practicing posing daily, start asap and hold those poses extra long so that when you are on stage it's a breeze. a good example of that was this weekend when i saw brad steere pose, he was solid as a rock and could pose all day long and made it seem effortless. that is what you want solid, not shaky, it is evident to the judges when people haven't practiced their posing and believe me that effects placings... and last but not least we are here to help, so fire away. is it you first show nick?

POSING PRACTICE is great exercise! Wow I think I sweat more than in a cardio training session on the treadmill! LOL. I still shake a bit, trying to really sqweeze every muscle and stay that way for Figure & Fit body competing! I think it is ok to shake a little, usually its just you feeling that way, and from the crowd they cant tell. as  long as you aren;t breathing very heavy like abs moving up and down... ANYWAY I want to pose once a week now and I am a little less than 17 weeks out from Competing! I think thats how important it is to get an early start on posing.. It's been a good help for me.
