I'm curious what others do to replace fats in their diets when eliminating peanut butter for pre-contest.

I gave up peanut butter for my first comp, not the second and to answer your question, I replaced it with flax oil.  Peanut butter has better mouth feel for me.  That's my biggest treat of the day.

Just curious.  People have told me that you need to give it up as you get closer, but I wasn't going down without a fight!!!!  I really LOVE my peanut butter.  Glad to know.  I'm keeping it in!!!!!!

Use NATURALLY MORE peanut butter. It has flax and peanut  in it. Better on fats and protein a lil higher in carbs, but its good. More fiber too.

AVOCADO burgers!

is there an ideal time to take in fats in accordance to waking and bedtime and workouts?

i try to take in as few as i can upon waking as well as before and after working out to assure the quickest uptake of carbs. wondering if there is a time in relation to these that had more benefits than another time..hormone levels perhaps?

Nick, fat slows the intake of carbs.  Breakfast is a great spot so you can start the day with higher levels of satiety, pre-workout is great to make sure you're using the fat to bolster energy levels some, and at the end of the day when you're slowing carbs you can have a little to also help with satiety.

Peanut butter: if you can measure it perfectly and it doesn't trigger eating more, you're a better person than me.  When I diet it's out.

That should be on a plaque so true. I have to be super disciplined when measuring out pbutter. Avocado is helping too...try it on a turkey burger good eats

Like Joe said, if you can measure it perfectly. But when you realize that your "tablespoon" and the actual tablespoon disagree, you're going to have a panic attack.
