So yesterday was my higher carb day and i decided to get creative with my pastry chef girlfriend and make something delicious yet healthy and on track with macros. Turns out i made something genius that is great for anyone dieting not just people with high carbs like me. Here is the macro outlook on the pizza design 18g Cho 4.9g Fat 53.3 g pro Pretty low in carb for a PIZZA! So these are the ingredientes. 1 Ole' Brand Whole wheat tortillas: High in Fiber, Low in Carbs .5 cup Sal and Judy's Heart Smart Italian Tomato Sauce 3 oz Chicken .5 cup Kraft Fat Free Mozzarella Cheese Add all of these together on the tortilla in this order and then bake in the oven till crispy. I then used a small creme brulee torch to further crackle the edges and the cheese! This is really yummy. I will post pics once i steal my camera back from the chef HA!.... If i could do it again though i would use less sauce or at least drain the sauce a little to make it a tad drier so it would stick to the tort better More recipies to come this summer! Lucas

Lucas, What are the macros on the sauce and tortilla? I don't think that I have that brand here.. but I could probably find something to substitute. But it definitely sounds GOOD! Jen

Kori - Just finished spring finals and started summer classes! Finally into clinicals! :) Working on getting some current pics to post for the masses to critique (as long as they are forgiving with the amateur photographer :) I'll have to check out those tortillas... I'm struggling with easy meals right now. I'm on a 'I don't wanna cook anything at all!' mood right now. Even putting things in the microwave is a struggle! Must be my laziness coming through :)

Tortilla macros : 8 pro/5 cho/2 fat sauce: 3/9/0 search at natty food stores and they will have something similiar i am sure Here is picture

That does look yummy:) I made pizza for breakfast yesterday (it was the only time I was going to have time to cook!) Kori, I wasn't able to find the ww boboli at the 3 stores I went to. So, I just improvised with regular pizza crust. Here's my recipie. I added italian seasoning to the tomato sauce. It made a pretty good size pizza (at least for me!) HAHA mine is lower in carbs! jk If you cant find a certain brand of food in your grocery store all you have to do is ask the managers and they will put in on the list to order usually. Try that brand of tortilla its good. I will work on making low carb dough for making personal pizzas with my GF. She is going to have a whole semester on breads...so i will be getting yummy breads sent to me :) I am serious about working on recipes this summer so stay tuned. I am almost of school so i can get to writing recipes. Full blown pizza HEALTHY STYLE IS COMING SOON THIS SUMMER! Lucas

Lucas - keep em coming! Make sure you give our compliments to the chef as well! I need all the help I can get!  I'll take recipes for anything, especially if you can get them to have as few servings as possible - I'm definitely not good with portion control!

Dr. Joe has been lowering my carbs and fat. Prior to that I had told him I couldn't wait to feel hungry again. Well we get what we wish for. Lucas that pizza has my stomach talking up a storm. It looks delicious. I'm going to try it this weekend.
