For convienence I've been using Cliff builders protein bars for a mid morning snack. The break down is 20p 30c 8f What are your guys' thoughts?

My favorites are the Supreme bars. I like the orange ones (16f, 34c, 30p) (non carb conscious) and the yellow guys (18f, 26c, 30p). The Labradas are good too. The coolest option is to make your own if you got the time.

Most protein bars are just glorified candy bars. Decent protein at best and all the same ingredients as a Snickers - with the addition of glycerine. I don't use them when dieting and when not dieting I may use one per day once in awhile for convenience, but not more. Don't crowd out healthier foods or higher-quality proteins with too many bars. Like Tyler, I use Supreme Bars sometimes, Balance Bars at others, etc.

are they as filling and fibrous as something like chicken rice & broccoli? no. But are they better than a cheeseburger in a pinch or nothing at all if you are crunched for time? better believe it. I would not go out of your way to eat one, but if your have limited time & options then they are fine.

Ok I hear you guys, I guess a pre-made protein shake will have to do. From 6am-till 11am I sometimes have no breaks

Hey tug, I dunno if you got time to do this or not, but MAKE your own. You can make it gooey and put it in tupper ware and get all the good foods in there. Oats and whey.. I throughly described a good example in this post. http://thedietdoc.com/forums/5/topics/1134 Hope that helps.

Parillo makes some pretty good bars with relatively good quality ingredients. They are pretty good in a pinch when not dieting. I am actually taking a box on my cruise with me so I can eat one of those after I work out instead of going to the breakfast buffet.

ah ha! Next time Joe and Sean prep for a show I'll make sure I have cheeseburger's delivered to their work. mwahahaha

I like the "OH YEAH" bars....I'm at a point where I'd rather have tuna or chicken with brown rice, though and even steak or chicken with a bagel  . I used to love the bars, but they can be damaging if you eat too many.
