Dr. Joe's show?

Hey Doc, MT said you may be doing a show.......

Is this a rumor or is it in the works?  When will it be? 

The rumor is indeed true and its yours truly who will be in charge of it. Joe has promoted a lot of shows and now that I am here in town working with him, we are in a better position to be able to promote because the time demand is a lot for one person to bear. So with that said, Joe was kind enough to say "Well, looks like you are promoting a show!". To which I replied "You had better be helping!". LOL.

We are thinking next year, late summer or early fall. The goal is to be very synergistic with MT's show and try to help him out as much as help ourselves here. I have an email in to Fred Rowlett about it and we REALLY want WNBF PQ status. It will be an NANBF show. Since Joes shows used to be PQ's, we are hoping to retain that classification. Dates are not set yet, but it will be a fall show sure.

I think its also safe to say that we will be making a weekend out of it...have a nutrition lecture, a posing class maybe, we could talk about the coloring process....just tons of directions we could go...and anything else that people would want to see.

I will be on the hunt for some good sponsorships and we will be advertising this thing on the biggest scale possible. I know of several people who are willing judge it already. We will need volunteers to help backstage, setup, clean up, check-in, ect....so anyone who is willing, please email me at:

Needless to say, Team K will have a LARGE presence at the show, so you are all welcomed to compete or attend!

Can't wait for this though...I have long wanted to promote a show!!

Hey man, shoot me an email and we can start scheming. The sooner we get stuff ironed out the better. I am gonna run a tight ship! LOL. I am thinking late august, but not the same weekend as the US Cup. Somewhere between your show and the International may be ideal.

We are having the 2nd annual Gatway Naturals Classic in St. Louis on Oct. 13th.  I will repost it on this thread.  If you want to come to see how things are set-up, run, etc., maybe even test judge if you aren't one already.  Shawna Meyer ran it last year with Fred & Jan's help.  Fred is also coming down to help out again this year, and then I am helping out as well this year.  Otherwise, feel free to come to town anyway!

Can't wait to hear more about Joe's show.  The more NANBF shows the better!

I will have to see how that weekend shapes up for me...we are in a busy time of year for sure. IF at all possible, I would love to roll over there and watch. Test judging would be a lot of fun too.

Will do. Right now the debate is do I go INBF or NANBF. I have the clearance from Steve Downs to do either...there used to be an INBF show here that I could revive, or we could go with a new NANBF show. To be honest, I really don't mind going in either direction. I just want to have a big, fun, well-organized, informative show and help promote our sport!

no need to buy more than one card...there is reciprocity between organizations.

NANBF goes by height whereas INBF goes by weight...thats the only difference. They are run the same, promoted the same, both are WNBF affiliates. I am assured that we will have PQ status as well.
