Does anybody utilize this type of training in their workouts? Are there hypertrophy benefits, or is olympic lifting more focused on explosion and technique? I'm thinking of different styles to integrate into my offseason program and this just popped into my mind.

Dan,

 

I was able to get my shoulders to grow implementing some power lifting explosive moves..be careful though I tweaked my lower back..  I was not wearing my belt thou

When I used to do my SSHIT training I would utilize these lifts during that week, of course squats, and deads. But as far as the Olympic lifts, I love using the Power cleans, power clean and presses, and Power presses.

I've been doing alot of power presses and a 1 handed dumbell snatch. It's really fun.

I got my boulder shoulders from Push presses and seated dumbbell presses. I also do DB Push Presses and have implemented the 1 handed DB Snatch in my workout before. It is very fun..........it makes me want to throw the dumbbell through the ceiling!!Laughing

I do lot's of power cleans.
