Oooh Chains and bands. Now you are speaking my language Dan. Both of them are awesome for serious strength gains. I love using chains on my speed set days for the bench press. Your tricep strength will go through the roof, and it pumps you up like crazy because the resistance just keeps getting greater and greater throughout the movement. Let me know if you want some sample workouts or something.

I thought bands might be better because of the progressive tension, what do you think? and how about putting some of these bad boys on squats and deads? That would be pretty sick!

I have used chains on deadlifts before and I have used bands on squats. Bands work great for squats. The last 1/3 of the squat is very tuff, right at the point the weight usaully gets easier. Good times!!

I was using the bands and chains at the power gym in NH. This is why I am flying thru my work outs this week. I don't have access to them here in CT. I was first turned on to the chains by Joe and Layne in Indiana.

Bands and chains are an awesome addition to your training cycle. Don't overdo the chains. The only time I have ever had any discomfort in my shoulders with my bench press training was after about 8 weeks using the chains. Also, make sure that there is still part of the chain on the ground when you reach full extension with your arms (you may already know this stuff). I especially enjoyed using the bands for box squats. Overall, a great addition in my opinion!

gee Tony -- I'm sorry -- I do remember you -- the one with the pastel colered plates on the barbell, that's right. Post a current pic of yourself when you get a chance to jog my mercury poisoned brain. Man do I need to de-tox. (great avi)
